Volunteer with us

The Elgin County Railway Museum depends on the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. You don’t have to be a train enthusiast to participate. Roles we are currently looking for:

  • Individuals with skilled labour skills (Carpentry, welding, construction, mechanics etc.)

  • Restoration Projects

  • Building & Grounds Maintenance

What Do Volunteers Do?

  • Interact with visitors during open hours

  • Gain work experience in the museum store

  • Assist with various restoration projects

Time Commitment

  • One mandatory training day

  • 4 Hour Regular Open Hours Shifts (seasonally)
